Matt & Monique: Found Love.

December 24th, 2007

Matt & Monique have a more unusual story… Think Indiana Jones. They’d known each other from school, but they fell for each other at an archaeological dig site half-way around the world in Jordan. They were digging in the hot sun and dirt, looking for ancient artifacts and instead, they found love. Hahaha! That’s the cheesiest thing I’ve written all year! But in all seriousness, it did go something like that. We took some shots at the archeology lab at the college they attended, so they can remember where it all began for them.

Monique’s mom, Sylvia was kind enough to fly us up to Walla Walla, Washington to do their wedding. We had a GREAT time with the Acosta and Vincent families. It was an international ensemble, with guests coming from Spain and Egypt. Being as they’re our last wedding for 2007, we’ve decided to post a few more images than usual.

Matt & Monique, we had a wonderful time with you and your family! We look forward to getting your album and print orders kicked out as well!

It may be Christmas Eve, and people may wonder why you’re posting on Christmas Eve, but c’mon, its our honeymoon, but we just really wanted to thank you guys for such wonderful work. We love the pictures so far and can’t wait to see more. We’ve been ooohing and aaahing over them all day.

Thanks again for such wonderful work, for having patience through the craziness of it all, and working with less than ideal conditions to produce pictures that will become our treasures.

    Thank you!
    Matt and Monique

We apologize for not getting out your wedding gift in time but with my Dad’s passing on the 1st our lives have been a little crazy. We wish we could have been there on the 23rd to celebrate with you, Matt and your family on your special day.

I was going to e-mail your Mom but if you’re checking out this website what would be a good mailing address for you two?

We are looking forward to seeing you again, maybe at the next Walker reunion and getting to meet your hubby.

very nice - you guys look beautiful and the photographer is quite amazing….

  • 24. Doug and Carmen Clark  |  December 27th, 2007 at 7:43 pm

Great wedding, Matt and Monique. And fantastic photos.

Even better with all that old stuff in some of the photos. When you put two gifted, beautiful/handsome, loved and loving young people together with old archaeological remains, something fun happens — old stuff looks more interesting and young people look wiser.

    Best!

    Doug and Carmen

  • 31. Brian Hernandez  |  December 28th, 2007 at 3:05 pm

Tim and Heidi, Very impressed with the 24-hour turnaround on getting some proofs up for everyone to see. The photos look great; looking forward to seeing more. Love the framing in the archaeology lab, the detail shots, and the hallway poses. Very nice! :o)

Also, it was a pleasure to chat with you two about photography gear, the business, your studio, etc., I wish you all the best this coming year. I’d still love to visit your studio when I come to SLC to visit my sister this year.

    Brian

P.S. - don’t forget to look up “The Digital Camera Battery” packs to power your flash heads… gives you lots of ‘pops’ all day long. :o)
