How to Find The Best Music.

September 10th, 2007

A lot of clients have asked us how we find our music. We often find things that aren’t on the Radio, or we find them before they’re on the radio… So I decided it was time to share our secret. We use Pandora.

What’s Pandora? Glad you asked! Pandora is a free internet radio station. Well it’s actually a little more than that. Pandora creates a playlist based on music you like. Without getting too technical, Pandora understands the similarities and differences between songs, artists and genres. So, here is how it works:

1. You enter in the name of an artist or song that you enjoy.
2. Pandora creates a custom radio station based on your selection.
3. As you listen to the music, you can give a song a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Pandora learns your preferences based on those choices and refines the songs it plays for you. The more you use it, the better it gets. You can create an account so that you can bring up your radio stations from anywhere and have a listen. It will also remember your settings and thumbs ups, so you can come back later and buy them in iTunes.

So it’s time to quit reading about it, so go find some awesome music! www.pandora.com.

PS– If you find anything good, post it here in the comments. I’d love to hear what you’re listening to.
