For Jessica and Porntepp’s bridal session, we decided to do a preshoot with David Perry so we could spend more time on the wedding day exercising a little more creativity. Now my only concern? How in the world are we going to top THIS?!
The Bountiful Temple has never looked so good. This is the teaser from Jessica & Porntepp’s preshoot video, by David Perry Films. We were also along shooting some stills for these two as well, and we’ll post them soon.
Check out this fun collection from Krista & Nate’s bridal session! As we’ve stated more than once, we love it when the groom comes along on the shoot as well. There are just so many more options and shots you can get, and it buys you a little more of a relaxed timeline on the wedding day. Take a look at the shots and let us know if you think it’s worth it too!
We recently shot Amber & Norm’s bridals, and we have to say–we got some great stuff. There really isn’t anything I can’t say that isn’t expressed on it’s own in the photos. So without much more preamble, take a peek!
A big thanks to Amber & Norm for being such great clients so far this year! Shooting for you so far has been our pleasure, and we can’t wait to delight you with some delicious photographs from your wedding day as well!
We took Kiersten & Jesse to a few new locations, but they did require some light driving. In any case, the results were a lot of fun and very different than most of the work in our portfolio. Take a look!
It’s no secret that Heidi and I shoot separately. Something we don’t exactly broadcast however, is that often times our most favorite work has been from times when we’re both working. Generally speaking when I’m holding the camera, Heidi can rock it out with a crazy pose or idea. When Heidi is holding the camera I’m thinking ahead to the next shot or I have a lighting idea. Our creativity and inspiration feed off of each other.
When we share and take turns on a shoot (which is REALLY hard to do!) we come up with some stuff we’re pretty happy with. Add more people to the mix and what happens? These images wouldn’t have been anything special without a fantastic Ines Di Santo Bridal Gown from Alta Moda and the stunning hair and makeup work from Enizio.
Take a peek at these fun images from Meichelle’s shoot where we all collaborated:
I’ve recently been toying with old hollywood lighting and style, because it’s just so fun. George Hurrell is considered the father of this lighting style, using it to light movie stars in the 20′s and 30′s.
Here is a recent shot I took, slightly emulating that old style but of course like anything I do–with a modern twist. Note the band of light just across the brow with subtle highlights on her cheek and arms. Tasty? Maybe, delicious even? Tell me what you think.
