We went out to shoot Lindsey and Doug’s Bridal session the other day but the weather was a bit iffy. We lucked out and were able to do half of the session outside before it started to rain and we moved into the downtown library. They turned out great! I can’t wait for the wedding!

We just shot Shantel’s bridal session and had an awesome time! The wind was blowing so hard, but it ended up working to our advantage with her veil and hair. We ran around all over downtown getting some great urban shots. The wedding is coming up soon, I can’t wait!
The shot below was taken a few days ago. I was under deadline to get some projects finished, and Heidi could tell I wasn’t wearing the pressure well.
I walked away from my desk for a breather, and when I came back I found a pile of treats. Those are some of my favorite goodies! The funny part, I don’t really ever recall telling Heidi that I like those things. She just knew, I know it seems small and insignificant but really, the little stuff is what life is made of.
Sometimes when you don’t use words, you can say many things all at once. What she was saying was pretty clear to me, “You’re important to me. I pay attention to the things you like. I want you to be happy.”
Sometimes people talk about how a marriage gets better with time. I think this is one of those instances they refer to. When you just know someone so well, a tiny gesture can change their mood.
While I’m still working on finishing the goodies, the effect was almost instant. Thanks Heidi, YOU make me happy.
Okay. Admittedly, I never really got the whole “bag dancing in the wind” thing on American Beauty. I don’t know why, it just never hit me like the beautiful moment it was painted out to be.
I did, however see this. And it did indeed make me think, the world was beautiful. It made me smile, I hope it makes you smile too.
Take a peek at these fun bridals! Tim and I shot these earlier this week for Caroline, a gorgeous bride in a stunning custom gown from Alta Moda. We’re such huge fans of the classic look!
We attempted to do an around-town urban shoot, but the rain got the better of us so we ended up at the Salt Lake Library. Much to Caroline’s surprise, the building lent itself quite well to some fabulous pictures! We hope you love these as much as we do!
