Tonya & Skyler: Persian Beauty

Tonya is a beautiful persian girl with absolutely stunning cat eyes (as noted in the photos below). Skyler, is a man’s man. There was some great chemisty between this couple and I had a blast photographing them!

Ahh, I just can’t get over her eyes, they’re absolutely arresting. Have a look:

Fierce right? I sure think so. Way hot guys!

Hot & Sexy Photography How-To

Here is the rub… We’ve been unlucky enough to do a few bridal sessions and even weddings where the hair and makeup hasn’t been all it could be. It doesn’t matter how great the light, location and posing are - if a bride’s look is off the photos will be too. We all know that when a girl doesn’t feel confident, it shows on her face and in her posture–it shows in the pictures too.

Ever been on a movie set? All of Hollywood’s best looking talent have professional stylists. Whenever you go to a fashion shoot, these naturally beautiful girls are all having their looks done professionally. None of these superstars would ever step in front of a camera without having a stylist step in front of them first. So why in wedding and portrait photography is professional styling overlooked?

We’ve worked with Enizio on several occasions. They’re an on-site hair and makeup team, which means they’ll come to you. Enizio works on commercial photo shoots and in the film and television industry. Their bridal styling is progressive, fashion inspired and casually elegant.

Photographers: Any of you Utah shooters out there, call Cynthia Dean, one of Earth’s friendliest human beings, and ask her for materials to give your brides. Working with a professional hair and makeup artist will improve your photography, period.

Brides: You can’t afford to not look your best for your bridals or on your wedding day. Enizio is underpriced for their level of expertise and service, and that won’t last forever.

Check out their awesome web site to view a portfolio of stunning artistry, and ask about bridal packages that have everything you need, including looking your very best.

Jordan & Bonnie: It’s My Little Brother!!

Jordan is my little brother and he’s had his eyes on Bonnie for a few years now. We were all wondering when he’d finally get around to popping the question. Fun shots all around town, and I’ll be attending his wedding both as a guest and a photographer. Take a look!

Take part in the creation.

“The only thing one can give an artist is leisure in which to work. To give an artist leisure is actually to take part in his creation.” -Ezra Pound, Poet 1885-1972

Ezra very brilliantly describes the way in which most creatives work, at their leisure. What does this mean for the bride soon to be married? Consider that giving your photographer more than enough time will have an impact on your photography. Scheduling your day to the minute and allowing a brief hour or less will also have an impact.

Take part in the creation, and give your photographer time.

Thank you Hilary.

Dressed All In White.

Wahoo! Check out the new look! How hot is this?!

It’s what we were hinting at with the new mattes introduced on Stephanie & Scott!

So why the change? We’re tightening up our brand and employing visuals that have a more markedly wedding theme. Why? We’re wedding photographers and we want it to be dead obvious. Plus the new white theme makes our delicious colors even more vibrant. Enjoy!

Zermatt - Resort Style Weddings in Midway Utah

Heidi and I recently had the chance to go up to Zermatt to shoot some photos for their promotional materials. They’re smart, they knew once they’d showed us around the place we’d be raving about it on our blog. Zermatt is a swiss themed resort and a perfect location for your wedding.

The model, Brandy Eyre is wearing a couture gown from Alta Moda Bridal Boutique. Hair and makeup masterfully created by Enizio. Here are a few of the shots we got. I love the carousel, oversized chess board and road post!

Stephanie & Scott: Feel The Lurve

Stephanie & Scott are a fun couple. Very passionate about getting good photos, willing to do what it takes. Wait around until it turns dark, sure. Getting eaten alive by bugs at night, no problem. Waiting patiently while we perfect an “under the stars” shot, that too.

We had an awesome time shooting with these two, can’t wait for bridals and the main event! Stay tuned…

My two favorites just up above. The stargazing shot, and one of them crammed into a washer at a laundromat. Way fun!

PS– Notice the new white blog mattes? That might be a hint of things to come… :)

Official Office Hours

Wow! So we’ve been so stinking busy this summer that we’re officially setting some hours to make it easier for clients to know when they can reach us. Visits to the studio still need to set an appointment, as we do shoot and have consultations scheduled throughout the week. That said, here are our hours:

Office Hours: Tuesday - Friday 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM Mountain.
Saturdays are reserved for photos shoots, we’re closed Sundays & Mondays.

It’s important to note that e-mails or phone calls received outside office hours will be answered on the next upcoming business day.
