Sothea and Friends: Fashion.

We shot Sothea and her friends on Saturday. Sothea had has quite a year, and she wanted to thank her friends for being there for her. Sothea decided a photo shoot would be the best way to go. We had a great time all around downtown and despite the weather, the shots are fabulous!

Sothea, we had such a great time with you! We hope you love these shots as much as we do!

Tip: Hire the right videographer.

The dressmaker doesn’t really care what the bakery does with your cake. Your florist could give a hoot about your live band. The jeweler will probably never even meet the caterer.

But photographers and videographers are a different story. They both have to work closely, often at the same time. Both have been hired to give you their best. It’s so important that they coordinate their efforts to make sure that they’re giving you their greatest work.

We absolutely allow videographers the space they need to be efficient and creative. In turn, they give us what we need to work our magic. We know that wedding videos and print collections are all that you keep from your wedding. Years down the road, a well produced piece can bring back the thoughts and feelings you had on that day.

Unfortunately, we’ve worked with a few videographers who don’t play well with others. It’s a frustrating experience for everyone, including the bride and groom.

Since photographers and videographers have to work so closely together, it’s a smart idea to ask your photographer or videographer for a referral. They’ll have a list of videographers that they enjoy working with so you can avoid having this problem…

Weddings can stir some pretty powerful emotion. Sometimes, that emotion can even take over.

Luckily for us, it’s never gotten out of hand.

Tip: Plan On Having Fun.

Many people craft their wedding plans, without putting any emphasis on giving their guests a great time.

Lauren points us to a great clip on YouTube, showcasing a couple who worked some fun into their plans. A little showmanship, and some entertainment can really make your wedding memorable. On top of that, it gives your guests something to talk about.

So here is the tip, when you’re doing your wedding planning, make sure some fun is worked into the details as well. Weddings are celebrations, so let’s not forget that.

This is the perfect example. We weren’t at this wedding, chances are, neither were you. Yet it’s made its way around the internet. People who don’t even know this couple are talking about them… all because the bride and groom planned on having some fun.
