Thanksgiving Point, literally, has never looked so good. We had a great time shooting with Kayla and her mother. After fighting off the swarms of other brides at Thanksgiving Point, we made some magic… Kayla, wow. Seriously, these are some awesome pictures!
We picked up a new line of albums, that have GORGEOUS wooden covers. These present a classical appeal, but with a modern twist. We expect these to be some of more popular album upgrades, and we’re excited to be offering them! We hope to get some new sample books bound soon, but in the meantime… Check out this hot stuff!
We’re adding more and more music to the site all of the time. We’ve got a few new songs we’re adding, but we want to hear from you on this one. Heidi heard this one at Colette’s wedding in France, and she’s been mad about it ever since. Whenever she hears it, it takes her right back to the little Chateaus in Provence. So… post some comments, we want to know what you think:
PS– Not that you wouldn’t know, but hit the pause button in the player at the bottom of your browser so you can hear this one nice and clear.
Nicki and John, what a seriously fun couple. We had such a great time with them. First we started off, shooting around some derelict buildings on the wrong side of the tracks. Then, we ended the evening with a wine and cheese tasting at Panache. What a wonderful time we had with them! They’re such a lively couple, so we traded all sorts of stories while we were getting to know them a bit better. We’ve definitely got some ideas and ammo for the big day. John and Nicki, your company was warm and charming. You’re great conversationalists and just plain fun to be around. So, what are you doing after this whole wedding thing blows over? We can’t wait to show you the rest!
A little while back we had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Nicolas’ baptism at the Prophet Elias, a Greek Orthodox church. The chapel was beautiful, and rituals were warm, tender and very heartwarming. The blessings bestowed upon this little baby are truly precious, and we were lucky enough to capture it all on film. An interesting part of the baptism, is that all of the rites are performed by the godparents. So we were able to capture an intimate point of view that Nicolas’ birth parents wouldn’t have otherwise seen. Below are some of the great photos. Niki, thank you for the wonderful opportunity to photograph this sacred event in your family’s lives.
We had a blast doing these photos! We started our shoot in old Murray to capture some of the classic look. We traipsed all around main street out there and then headed off to a few other places around. Here are our favorites. K&C- Seriously… Heidi and I had a rocking time with you two. We’ve got oodles more to show you too, but these are just a few quick favorites. You’re such a fun couple and we look forward to going out to dinner and shooting your wedding in a few weeks.
PS- Stay tuned for bridals everyone, they’re gonna be hot!
We get asked from to time about our Web site statistics, so I figured I’d just post a few interesting facts and figures for those who are interested in knowing about our Web site’s traffic trends. Here goes:
From May 9th to June 9th - We received 4092 unique visitors.
That’s an average of 136 people per day.
There have been 14,460 pages viewed in the last 30 days.
The largest portion of our traffic is direct, meaning people typing in our web address and coming straight to the site. This composes 42.98% of the visits. These are people who pickup business cards or are referred by someone.
The most viewed page on the site, is (obviously) the homepage. Second is our pricing page. Third is a blog post, Matt & Vicki’s to be exact.
The single busiest day in our Web site’s history this year, was June 6th. Most of the traffic was to the Zander Zoun post. That’s right, Zander’s post got the most in a single day, Matt & Vicki’s has collected the most over time.
In short, this summer is shaping up to be, by far, the best in our studio’s history. Our clients have been raving about our work to their friends and family members. We’re booking new clients every week. The majority of our new clients found us through a friend or family member. So, with almost no advertising, we’ve built a solid referral base which continues to grow.
A warm thanks goes out to all of our great clients who have taken the time to talk about us with their friends and family. Heidi and I started our business, with a goal that our clients would love their pictures and experiences with us so much that they couldn’t help but talk to others about us. The statistics here tell us that we’re meeting that mark and it’s truly heartwarming that our clients are telling the story of our little photo studio.
We’ve got some great new things planned for the rest of the summer and fall, so stay tuned as they unfold!
Zander Zoun is one of my more unique photography clients, in that I’ve been taking his photos since before he was born. Lori and I first started while she was pregnant. I do have a few other clients that have started out this way, but Lori was the first who has ever followed through with as many sittings. This last shoot, was the capstone to his first year of life series. The next step is to create a custom book that tells the story of his first year of life. This includes maternity photos, shots from the hospital, pictures at his first christmas, first birthday and other significant events in this short year. Lori - It’s always so much fun to shoot with you, I hope you love these shots as much as Tim and I do.
