Yay! We added two new permanent galleries to the site. One for bridals, one for engagements. They’re a bit sparse right now (30 engagements, 15 bridals) but we’re working on getting them chock a block full.
Kassie, is a delicious bride. Kassie is wearing an Atelier Aimee (from Alta Moda) the gown and Kassie are perfectly paired, and she looked absolutely amazing in it. Couple that with a dapper groom, a parasol and some old fallen buildings and you’ve got the makings of some gorgeous images.
Kassie, seriously these are some awesome shots. I can’t wait to show you the rest, and I’m so excited about your wedding. Get me on your Facebook friends’ list and I’ll post some up there too.
PS– Did you notice the new blog matte? I loved being married to a designer… Also, I’ve got two more posts coming.
Jisoo was such a fun bride to work with. Her cousin Heather and her mother followed us all over Salt Lake City as we looked for places to shoot. We shot at the capitol, ensign peak and a few urban spots as well. I know, we’re terrible because this session is from a few weeks back. We’ve been slammed with a busy summer season, but we’ve got lots more to show everyone.
Jisoo, we had such a blast working with you and we can’t wait to do more fun shots for you!
Alright. David Berkeley - another rocking awesome song. This is the best version of it I could find. I do prefer the studio version on his album (available on iTunes) but this rocks too.
Check out this moody soulful tune from Greg Laswell. A fantastic artist, yet to reach “radio fame”. The song, High and Low is available on iTunes if you decide you love it as much as I do.
Whenever I write my name out, it’s always Timothy Uhl (pronounced Yule for those who don’t know). I always use the full name when I reference myself. Business cards, e-mail signatures, all of that stuff. I do this for two reasons. First, the shorter name, blurs together with the last name into an unpleasant sounding “timule” or, people just hear it as Jim. I’ve spent more evenings than I’d like to mention being called Jim because I was too big of a wuss to just say, “Oh, actually my name is Tim.” Secondly, I always thought it sounded more formal and professional to introduce myself using my full name.
For those of you that know me personally, I’m just not formal. I’m very casual, laid back and I love a good laugh. You all know me as Tim and call me that, probably because Timothy just doesn’t fit who I really am. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
So, I’ve decided to change my business cards, e-mail sig, Facebook icon and all of it. Why? This is me, just being who I really am.
So, what can you do, to be who you really are? Whatever it is, don’t be afraid to let it show in front of our cameras. It makes for some of the very best pictures.
If you’re not on Facebook, well, you oughta be. Especially if you’re a client, there are a few extra goodies our Facebook friends get for free. What’s Facebook? It’s like MySpace, but for grown-ups. Just kidding! I have a MySpace page too.
Anyhow, if you haven’t signed up yet, head over there and do so now. It’s absolutely, 100% free. Once you do, be sure to add me as a friend! Click here to go to my Facebook profile (Note: You have to have a Facebook account in order to see mine).
